Gravel driveway services are more than just spreading a little rock. Gravel, like all natural products, requires maintenance over time, but the "old school" methods of repair simply don't work. Dumping rock in potholes, dragging a box blade back and forth, or spreading new gravel over the old does nothing to correct the underlying problems that caused those potholes in the first place. These methods only give the appearance of a nice new driveway, and as the saying goes... "Appearances can be deceiving." In reality, the same pot holes and problem areas soon return and become a problem once again.
There IS a better way.
If you're tired of paying to have gravel dumped and spread year after year, just to have those annoying potholes return and your expensive gravel seemingly disappear...you need to give Holloway Excavation a call. We don't just spread gravel. Instead, we remix the existing material - then grade, reshape and re-crown for improved drainage away from the driveway. This process also repairs potholes from the bottom up, that's the only way to ensure that they don't return. We can also improve drainage in areas surrounding the gravel area. Proper drainage is key to a long lasting gravel surface. We will assess if a culvert is needed. Once we've re-graded and any drainage have been repaired, we compact and install a layer of new road base, flex base and/or a topping of crushed limestone. Finally, we compact once again for durability.
Gravel Driveway Install
Installation involves grading the desired location in order to assure it will be level and prevent dips from forming. For extensive leveling, we can deliver fill dirt or excavate the area to provide proper installation. We can vary the size of gravel used in order to meet your individual needs.
Gravel Driveway Repair
If you already have a gravel driveway and it is showing signs of deterioration, we are able to make repairs no matter how extensive. We power rake, level and spread your new gravel. Depending on size of driveway, we will hand rake smooth to give that professional look! Also, we have the proper equipment to do larger parking areas and driveways. Holloway Excavation LLC uses proper equipment to cut and clear brush and process small trees. We have experience in demolition projects and will haul any materials you would like off the property including but not exclusive to barns, buildings, fencing, playgrounds, sidewalks, pools, etc. Our compact track loader can access slopes and unstable ground areas while leaving the soil virtually undisturbed. Soft ground, thorns and debris are no problem for our machine.
